As humans, we may experience food -related inflammation resulting in symptoms such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), migraines, fibromyalgia, dermatitis, and more. In order to discover what foods and chemicals may be creating havoc on our bodies, a simple blood test is performed and analyzed. The test results provide a detailed report of reactive vs safe foods and chemicals.
The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is unique. Utilizing the most current technology, the MRT examines 170 foods and chemicals. The analyzing laboratory is Oxford Biomedical Technologies. After results are provided, a certified Lifestyle Eating and Performance (LEAP) dietitian works with the client to create a customized nutrition plan. Clients tend to have symptom improvement in as little as 3-10 days of eliminating or reducing reactive items. As inflammation continues to decrease and the client continues to feel better, reactive and untested foods may be reintroduced in the client's eating plan. Working together, we aim toward wellness and fueling a healthier body. This is the gold standard of sensitivity training.
Kara Friel, Registered dietitian nutritionist, utilizes over 20 years of nutrition experience. Applying food as medicine, she works with clients to create a nutrition plan using MRT results.
